I’ve had half a post written for over a week now. But somehow, cookie-baking, wreath-making, sweater-knitting, gnocchi-shaping, veggie-pickling and Christmas movie-watching have kept that post from getting finished. I thought about simply posting photos of all those acts–a dispatch from Elf Land–but if you’ve seen one artsy, macro peppermint bark shot, you’ve seen enough.
Instead, I’m letting my half-finished post go, and including a photo I snapped with my phone, while dashing around Union Square in San Francisco, shopping. That’s what I have time for right now, and somehow it seems just right.
Merriest of merry Christmases to you, dear readers, and warmest winter wishes.
All right! Fitting this brief post in is fitting.
The “color,” the “angle-of-view,” and of course “the subject,” Christmas Tree, as taken from your phone, is distinctive; I really like it.
Have a Great New Yule!
We’ll miss seeing you at Park Day.
Happy new year to you, Kristin, and happy birthday too!
